Dog available for adoption in Lethbridge, Alberta through Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society

It’s puppy time again! Squiggy is one of the newest additions to AARCS’s adoptable list and he is such a sweet puppy! He’s still in his soft, fluffy stage, and with how cuddly he is, he is super hard to resist. If you sit down on the ground, he is instantly in your lap :) (more…)

Dog available for adoption in Lethbridge, Alberta through Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society

More puppy! Rolo took Emmy Lou’s foster place right after she found her forever home and I got to play with him in the park for his photos. He’s super mellow and seems like he’ll grow into such a well behaved dog! (more…)

Dog available for adoption in Lethbridge, Alberta through Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society

My first session back after my wedding was an easy one! Emmy Lou is available through AARCS and already has so much personality for her young age. She is such a little sweetheart and it was hard to focus on the photos when all I wanted to do was cuddle her :) (more…)

Rodeo | Helping Animals In Need

The work I have been doing with AARCS has been so rewarding, and almost all of the dogs I have photographed were almost immediately placed in homes! However, there is one exception: Rodeo still needs to find her forever home. I first saw her in February when she was just a puppy, so now that she is a little bigger she needed some updated photos. She’s still pretty cute and little, but she’s gotten a lot taller and grown out of those awkward big puppy feet. Such a sweetie!

Here is her adoption page if you are interested. :) (more…)

Camouflage dogs!

Another set of AARCS dogs who were available for adoption are brother and sister puppies Pokey and Rodeo, who live in Pincher Creek with their foster family. Photographing them was like working with little humans – they have so much energy when they are young so it takes lots of patience and chasing! I had to be careful not to get too close to the puppies because they thought that meant it was time for hugs, not posing for photos :) If it weren’t for my lens hood I would have had many nose prints on my glass! I’m so happy to announce that Pokey has already been adopted too! (more…)

Precious the Dog | Helping Animals in Need

Tuesday, January 31st, 2012

More doggie goodness! Precious is another foster dog available through AARCS, and she currently lives in the Crowsnest Pass (I got to hang out with Precious, AND get fed by my mom – double win!). Precious was super mellow and laid back, and although she was a little shy, she was a sucker for hugs and pets. A lot of the foster homes don’t have good cameras, so before my photos the organization had assumed this dog was entirely black since she looked so dark via cell phone photos! People should not miss out on those cute spotted feet she has…

In other good news, these photos really do help the dogs immensely: Elvis had no inquiries before her photo shoot, but within half a month of making her a model, she’s been adopted! Yay!
