Madison’s family chose a great day to have their session to take advantage of getting amazing colourful Lethbridge fall photos. The colours last fall were incredible!

It had been two years since I last saw them and Madison had gotten a lot taller since then, but still had her same adorable smile and charisma in front of the camera. She was a little shy to start, but quickly had a great time jumping around and getting piggy back rides from her parents.

Katon was in need of some new headshots and professional but casual portraits when he contacted me to do his photoshoot. It’s not super often that I get to do a session that is exclusively men’s portraiture, but I love this change from working with families!

I love taking photos at the University of Lethbridge campus because it offers such a great mix of urban and nature locations right next to each other. The urban look was more of what Katon was going for and primarily chose in the end, but I couldn’t resist how great the foliage looked with the autumn colours.

For individual portraits, I always recommend bringing at least two outfits. Katon chose a great contrasting set, including both a more formal dressed up look, as well as a casual look that showed off his tattoos.

The year before last, Danyel and Kim missed their window of opportunity for autumn photos because of the early snow. We ended up doing a belated session that was very chilly. Luckily last year balanced things out! Their Aperture Park fall family session was on such a beautiful, calm morning. Instead of shivering children, their three kids got to run around, twirl, and throw leaves in the air.

The kids had such a fun time exploring the west Lethbridge park that they didn’t even want to go home! It was way more fun to keep climbing things there :)

Last fall I had another fun personal branding top up session with Renae from Beautiful Inside Academy.

While Renae is usually about cool neutral colours and a crisp, clean look, she needed something more seasonal she can use in the autumn. We picked a gorgeous day when the colours were vibrant to have some fun throwing leaves, playing on the swings, and hanging out in Pavan Park.

The background may not fit Renae’s brand, but the photos still show her approachable, warm personality and positive outlook. You may also remember her awesome sunglasses from her last session!

Nicole and Cody had such a vivid fall family session with how amazing the colours were last autumn! Their photography session in Indian Battle Park allowed us to escape the wind and make use of the golden tones in the river bottom.

I had already photographed Nicole and her daughter on the fun mothers-daughters New York trip we went on, but this time the guys (including dog Coco) got to be included. I’m not sure they were as excited about it, but they did good for following Mom’s wishes for family photos!

Coco and the kids climbed whatever they could and were super excited to be out on our photo adventure. Nicole was happy to learn how easily I caught all the moments between the chaos ;)

With their oldest daughter starting her last year of high school, Abby and Tak decided it was finally time to update family photos while both girls were still home! The date they selected ended up giving us the most vibrant autumn family photos we could have hoped for. I cannot believe how colourful this last fall was!

We did all of the photos in the Helen Schuler Nature Reserve to escape the wind and every spot was so stunning. Celine and Sophie get along as great friends just as much as sisters (at least in front of me!). They’re definitely going to miss each other once college rolls around!
