Fort Macleod Backyard Wedding Ceremony [Cameron & Morgan]

Cameron and Morgan, Fort Macleod backyard wedding ceremony

Morgan and Cameron travelled south to Morgan’s family acreage to hold their Fort Macleod backyard wedding ceremony. Their perfect sunny day really made the cotton candy pink and blue color scheme pop! I loved how they mix and matched the colors throughout the wedding party and their children, with their daughter lucky enough to get the most colorful poofy dress that was a mix of both.

They kept their wedding very small with immediate family, which made the day so special and intimate. Their DIY touches were put together so well… Morgan made the bouquets and flower girl dress herself!

After all the years their relationship goes back, the deep intimacy and comfort they share together was obvious.

Congratulations, Cameron and Morgan!

Bayshore Inn Outdoor Yard Ceremony [Peter & Monika]

Monika and Peter, Bayshore Inn outdoor yard ceremony

Monika and Peter love the outdoors so it was no surprise that Waterton was the perfect fit for their wedding. Their Bayshore Inn outdoor yard ceremony took place in such gorgeous weather with their closest friends and family in attendance. All day they were surrounded by so much love!

They subtly worked a couple of their geeky interests into the wedding with superhero socks, cufflinks, and even underwear, plus a Star Wars wedding band. The rest of their theme had a romantic look with subdued colors and beautiful white wild flowers.

Videography that day was provided by their adorable dog Brian. I’m not sure they’ll be hiring him again after he missed part of their ceremony by rolling upside down ;)

I loved watching Monika and Peter interact with each other. They are so comfortable together and naturally melted into each other’s arms for every photo.

Congratulations, Peter and Monika!

SpringBreak Flower Farm Wedding [Travis & Stephanie]

Travis & Stephanie, SpringBreak Flower Farm Wedding

When Stephanie and I rode the school bus together many years ago, I never imagined I’d one day be rolling around in the damp grass photographing her wedding! Her and Travis had a gorgeous SpringBreak Flower Farm wedding and though their ceremony was forced inside from the threat of rain, we were lucky to be able to do all their photos outside. We were especially lucky seeing as how the day before there were tornado warnings!

It was amazing watching the interactions they had with their friends and family as they got ready for the day. I can’t count the number of times people almost broke out in tears, but always managed to catch themselves just in time not to wreck their makeup ;)

One very special part of the day was the inclusion of their dogs (their babies, of course!) Lucky and Luka. The dogs even had a special part in the ceremony as they walked down the aisle inside of SpringBreak garden centre and stood alongside the wedding party.

This was such a happy day for them and their wedding party was so energetic and happy, so they never had a chance to stop laughing.

Congratulations, Travis and Stephanie!

Romantic Waterton Bayshore Inn Wedding [Shawn & Adrienne]

Shawn & Adrienne, Romantic Waterton Bayshore Inn Wedding

Adrienne and Shawn held a romantic Waterton Bayshore Inn wedding ceremony in the afternoon along the lake. This beautiful day was an official joining of their families, though they’ve taken on each other’s children as their own for quite some time now!

The couple made sure their family played an important role throughout the wedding day. Each of their mothers signed the marriage register, the wedding party was made up entirely of their children, and throughout the day they were chauffeured by Adrienne’s father in a light blue vintage Corsair car. The car, by the way, was gorgeous, and a perfect match for something old, borrowed, and blue!

It was amazing to watch how in love they are. Shawn could barely fight back tears as he watched Adrienne walk down the aisle and spoke of how meeting her was like a fairy tale. Adrienne exudes kindness and caring when she is near him.

Congratulations, Shawn and Adrienne!

Italian Canadian Club Spring Wedding [Andrea & Tylor]

Andrea and Tylor, Italian Canadian Club spring wedding

Weddings are so much more fun to be involved with when I have an emotional connection to the couple. Having known Andrea since grade one made working with her and Tylor that much more amazing! I love seeing how incredibly in love they are and how happy he makes her.

It was no surprise that Andrea put together such a beautiful wedding when she herself is a wedding planner (check her out at Elegant Weddings and Events!). They chose a gorgeous theme of purples and blues for their Italian Canadian Club spring wedding, accenting their wedding party in lilac while they wore blue. Andrea was so in love with her colour scheme that she wore two dresses for the wedding: a more traditional white tea cup dress for the ceremony and a beautiful floor length blue reception dress.

Their daughter Evelyn, adorned in purple lace, obviously stole the show ;)

Congratulations, Andrea and Tylor!

Lethbridge Spring Wedding Photos [Ben & Sheila]

Ben and Sheila, Lethbridge spring wedding photos

Sheila and Ben joined us for their Lethbridge spring wedding photos just after their ceremony on what could have been a rainy day… but as luck would have it, it stopped raining exactly just during our scheduled photo time!

I don’t think I have ever laughed this much from a wedding party before. They wore blankets as scarves, high fived a jogger in the coulees at every bend in his path, the girls ran up the coulees in heels, one groomsman managed to get a girl’s phone number downtown in between photos, and everything finished with endless airplane puns at the appropriate time (though most of those came from Cam once they got going!). Seeing as how I first knew Sheila and Ben for their hilarious piggy back rides, it shouldn’t have been a surprise that they are such a fun group!

We started our photos in the coulees, now a saturated green from all the rain, then headed downtown to some of the most beautiful old architecture. Sheila and Ben have such a romantic, deeply passionate look when they interact with each other and these locations really accented those feelings.

Our last location was a fun one: the airport hangar! Even though we ended up not needing to escape any rain, it was such a great spot to take photos.

Congratulations, Ben and Sheila!
