Santa Paws at Bone & Biscuit in Lethbridge, 2022

Last year was so much fun doing Santa Paws photos at both of The Bone & Biscuit’s Lethbridge locations that we decided to do it again this year!

The outfits just keep getting cuter. We had way more doggie-sized Christmas sweaters this year, a beret-wearing Chihuahua, and a full on gingerbread man/dog with baker! I love seeing the same families year after year and meeting the new ones. It’s especially great when families have grown by a dog, kitty, or (to quote mom) a “skin puppy.” ;)

Money was raised for Wag-A-Muffins Animal Rescue and we thank everyone who brought their pets for helping support this rescue.

As usual it was so hard to narrow it down, but this year had some of the funniest bloopers like doggie tantrums and our first full on howl!

Oldman Watershed Council Farm to Table Tour

Last month I had the pleasure of being involved with the farm to table tour hosted by Lethbridge non-profit The Oldman Watershed Council. The free tour included lunch from The Penny Coffeehouse, a tour of a farm near Coaldale, and a photography lesson from myself. Even though it was cold, we all had a lot of fun!

The photo lesson centred around taking control of the settings on your DSLR or mirrorless camera and we started while on the drive to the farm (courtesy of a party bus from California Dream Limo). Once at the farm, the landowners gave us a detailed tour and explained the work that goes into the farm. We got to meet all the friendly animals who live there, the most friendly being an extroverted goat and a small orange kitten who joined us on the entire tour.

Thank you to everyone who came and braved the rain!

Halloween Pet Photos at the Bone & Biscuit Lethbridge 2022

We had a spooky time at The Bone & Biscuit for our first year of offering Halloween pet photos! Costumed dogs and cats came to visit us at the Mayor Magrath location and we loved seeing all the creativity people put into their pet’s costumes.

Money was raised for Wag-A-Muffins Animals Rescue and we thank everyone who brought their pets for helping support this rescue.

Happy Halloween!

Indian Battle Park autumn extended family photos

Jen and Tim got all of their adult kids and grandchildren together for three generations of extended family photos. We hit the perfect date in autumn where the first batch of leaves in Indian Battle Park had turned orange, which doesn’t last for very long! They brought along the family dog Cooper, and their son and his partner even brought along their adventure cat!

Most of the session turned into an hour of playing for their two grandkids who were doted on by everyone there :)

Lethbridge Backyard Cat Photography [Puma & Jag]

Lethbridge backyard cat photography

Photoshoots like this are why I do what I do. Puma was early in an untreatable cancer diagnosis when his humans contacted me for his photoshoot. This adorable boy had no idea he was sick (or at least didn’t show it). This Lethbridge backyard cat photography session was such a special experience for all of us.

Puma and his brother Jag had the best time playing in the yard and working for treats. I followed them around as they explored the garden and once in a while we would bribe them into action.

I am proud of all of us for holding it together emotionally during the session <3

Cat Photo Session in Lethbridge [Ralphie & Lady]

cat photo session in Lethbridge

Ralphie & Lady’s human mom Taelynn booked her girls a cat photo session. Taelynn cited “cats being adorable” as their special occasion for the photos, and I couldn’t agree more! Both kitties are 10 years old but still extremely playful, especially once catnip gets brought out. You need to work with cats in ways where they are always comfortable, so there was a lot of chasing as we bounced from one piece of their favourite furniture to another.

We mostly focused on the cats, but Taelynn was on hand to jump in for a few photos and offer assistance wildly waving toys around (her hand made it into a lot of hilarious action shots). I had so much fun playing with the kitties!
