Pavan Park late autumn family photos

Each day in October last year was a total surprise for what the weather would do. The day before Lana and Jamie’s session we had snow, and for theirs it warmed up at the cost of a wind warning! We tucked ourselves deep into the river bottom to escape the wind and found the last few leaves before the wind took them all away. Their Pavan Park late autumn family photos had just enough colour left and tons of leaves to throw in the air for some fun action shots. Lana and Jamie have raised such a friendly family and they were so easy to work with. Being close to each other comes so naturally to them!

Pavan Park autumn morning family portraits

I love our annual tradition of photographing this part of my family. Nothing shows how much the girls have grown than comparing their photos side by side each year! Now that they’re both school age, they are awesome little models and rocked their hip attitude poses. We ended up doing gorgeous sun-kissed Pavan Park autumn morning family portraits after rescheduling from rain earlier in the weekend. It was such a fun morning, and their grandparents came along for a few photos at the beginning too!

Helen Schuler autumn family photos

After a blast of both cold and wind, we were worried about what would be left for the Helen Schuler autumn family photos with Madison and her parents. We were so happy to be met with beautiful, rich colours in the river bottom! Indian Battle Park looked stunning during golden hour and we found every pretty spot where the leaves had held on. Madison is such a sweet girl and was excellent at posing, whether we wanted her to be serious and thoughtful, or giggly and showing off her cute smile for mom and dad!

Lethbridge summer backyard family photos

Toni and David were able to celebrate a rare occasion – all of their daughters were in town at the same time, including their granddaughter! They took the opportunity to do Lethbridge summer backyard family photos at their home. It’s been a very long time since their last official family photo session so it was time for an update!

Their home in the heart of Lethbridge was meticulously maintained, allowing us to do all of the photos right at their property. Even the park near their home couldn’t entice us away!

This family is so full of joy when they are together. They took no coaxing at all to embrace each other, hug, and whip out silly faces as needed.

Henderson Lake children's photography

Tawana was celebrating his third birthday and his parents wanted to capture his personality at this point in his life. His mom warned me that a lot of that personality involved excitedly running around! Sure enough, he loved sprinting at the park and I think his mom and dad needed a good nap after all that chasing!

It was a beautiful day for Henderson Lake children’s photography other than the wind. Luckily Tawana loves the wind and it just made him want to run more! He was adorable in all of his outfits. I love when really little kids wear adult styles!

Henderson Lake morning family photos

I love that Nic and Robin have an annual tradition of updating their family photos. They’ll always have memories of how big the kids were year after year, and it has given me a chance to watch their family grow since I first started working with them before their wedding. They came to Lethbridge this year for some Henderson Lake morning family photos at Gunnery Point. It was a gorgeous spring day and we squeezed the photos in just early enough to beat the heat.

I’m always so amazed at how well behaved and happy their kids are. Lucas never seemed to hit the “terrible twos” but instead has always been smiley and great at posing. Now that he’s heading out of that age range, he’s just as awesome and his sister is following in his footsteps. It’s not often you find a one year old who can smile on command, but Olivia has already mastered that! The kids did so great practising their patience as we circled around the playground during the session. They were rewarded at the end with some play time.
