Lethbridge summer backyard family photos

Toni and David were able to celebrate a rare occasion – all of their daughters were in town at the same time, including their granddaughter! They took the opportunity to do Lethbridge summer backyard family photos at their home. It’s been a very long time since their last official family photo session so it was time for an update!

Their home in the heart of Lethbridge was meticulously maintained, allowing us to do all of the photos right at their property. Even the park near their home couldn’t entice us away!

This family is so full of joy when they are together. They took no coaxing at all to embrace each other, hug, and whip out silly faces as needed.

Henderson Lake children's photography

Tawana was celebrating his third birthday and his parents wanted to capture his personality at this point in his life. His mom warned me that a lot of that personality involved excitedly running around! Sure enough, he loved sprinting at the park and I think his mom and dad needed a good nap after all that chasing!

It was a beautiful day for Henderson Lake children’s photography other than the wind. Luckily Tawana loves the wind and it just made him want to run more! He was adorable in all of his outfits. I love when really little kids wear adult styles!

Henderson Lake morning family photos

I love that Nic and Robin have an annual tradition of updating their family photos. They’ll always have memories of how big the kids were year after year, and it has given me a chance to watch their family grow since I first started working with them before their wedding. They came to Lethbridge this year for some Henderson Lake morning family photos at Gunnery Point. It was a gorgeous spring day and we squeezed the photos in just early enough to beat the heat.

I’m always so amazed at how well behaved and happy their kids are. Lucas never seemed to hit the “terrible twos” but instead has always been smiley and great at posing. Now that he’s heading out of that age range, he’s just as awesome and his sister is following in his footsteps. It’s not often you find a one year old who can smile on command, but Olivia has already mastered that! The kids did so great practising their patience as we circled around the playground during the session. They were rewarded at the end with some play time.

Lethbridge pink blossom family photos

The spring blossom mini sessions I had this year were a great way for me to catch up with a bunch of my former wedding couples! I got to meet little Kieran for the first time when Erin and Ross brought him out for Lethbridge pink blossom family photos. They warned me that he doesn’t smile much, but we got so many smiles out of him for photos! The family was so nicely coordinated in outfits all featuring splashes of pink to go with the flowers.

Fort Macleod newborn family photos

At just under a month old, Cashton got in front of the camera for his Fort Macleod newborn family photos with his parents, brothers, and adorable dog Django in the River Valley Wilderness Park. His family is so in love with him that everyone was begging for a chance to hold him in the photos (with the exception of Django). It was a beautiful day for doing outdoor newborn pictures and Cashton was on his best behaviour for his very first photoshoot.

Coaldale lifestyle family photos

It was on an important one year anniversary in their lives that Lydia and her four children invited me into their home for Coaldale lifestyle family photos. Lydia wanted to capture what their life is like at this moment in time – what their house looked like, the activities they loved doing together there, and the personalities of the kids at their current ages. We started out with a snugly story time on the couch before each of the children gave me a tour of their awesome bedrooms and favourite activities there. After a game of Jenga, we went outside for hockey and bike rides. The kids loved bouncing between so many activities and having tickle fights on the bed.
