Waterton Autumn Engagement Photos [Erik & Alena]

Waterton autumn engagement photos

Erik and Alena split their engagement portraits into two sessions so they could capture both winter and autumn in the mountains. Their winter photos proved to be a challenge when we had a snow-free February and now that it came time for the autumn session, we almost got snow! (The snow literally came the next day.) I think we’ll have better luck getting the correct weather for their upcoming summer wedding ;)

This time around we did Waterton autumn engagement photos and I was happy they braved the rain as I dragged them around the town site. I think the speed with which we ran around distracted them from the all the wind and dampness and better let them focus on being so cute together and having fun!

Miner's Path family photo session

It’s definitely official at this point: Tennille and Jim make cute kids! This was my first time meeting their newest addition, Owen, and he’s just as cute as his sister Ava! For his first photos we met for a Miner’s Path family photo session in the Crowsnest Pass and I loved watching Ava interact with her new brother. This time they brought their adorable dogs along who did a lot better than expected, but were still super excited to see other dogs along the way :)

Park Lake multi-generation family photos

To celebrate Lourens’ 50th birthday, his children all got together for Park Lake multi-generation family photos. The family coordinated so well for their blue color scheme and even the little kids matched! This was a wonderful idea for his wife Peggy to put together :)

Even as their children grow and move on to start families of their own, the closeness between them remains strong. The siblings interact no differently in their joking and teasing each other than if they were still kids living under the same roof!

Crowsnest Pass Autumn Engagement Session [Brittany & Sam]

Crowsnest Pass autumn engagement session

Brittany was a bridesmaid in one of our favourite past weddings so I was elated when she contacted me for her own wedding! Her and Sam will be getting married in Calgary next year, so for a change of scenery beforehand we planned out a Crowsnest Pass autumn engagement session. We weren’t sure if there would be green leaves, fall colours, or a blanket of snow – you never know with the Pass – but we lucked out with a fairly calm day and AMAZING colours… we definitely picked the right weekend to do this!

Sam and Brittany love vacationing in the Pass and knew of a few good spots I’ve never checked out before (I always joke about how I never explored until I moved away from the area!). I was very glad to make use of their expertise :) Brittany and Sam have such a quiet calm about them and are so comfortable around each other. I loved watching what a great match they are.

Lundbreck Falls summer engagement photos

Amanda and Jesse decided to do Lundbreck Falls summer engagement photos to make use of the beautiful weather we had this summer. It also gave us an excuse to go on a bit of an adventure for photos as their wedding will be taking place in the city. They are so comfortable in each other’s arms and exude happiness together. They are such a perfect couple!

Leitch Collieries Engagement Photos [Desirée & Craig]

Leitch Collieries engagement photos

If their Leitch Collieries engagement photos were any indication, Desirée and Craig’s wedding is going to be a blast! They are so happy together that they couldn’t help but burst out laughing every few minutes during photos. It’s so amazing to see this intensity of happiness! They have found such fantastic partners in each other. They are equal parts madly in love and not having to take themselves seriously.

I’m very glad these photos happened as I had to drive through what easily could have become a tornado to reach them. Can you believe how perfect the weather was for their photos after all that? We didn’t have a single drop of rain threaten us and the cloudy skies made the architecture there look like a dramatic old castle.
