Crowsnest Pass Scottish Wedding [Richard & Crystal]

Richard & Crystal, Crowsnest Pass Scottish wedding

We loved taking part in Richard and Crystal’s Crowsnest Pass Scottish wedding this past weekend because, let’s be honest, weddings are awesome when you include kilts and bagpipes! They included Richard’s family tartan in the kilt, bouquet, and fathers’ ties :)

Crystal returned to her hometown for their wedding and started the day getting ready at her family’s house before their ceremony at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Blairmore. Afterwards we headed to the Miner’s Path for photos before sending them back to the church’s basement for their reception.

Richard and Crystal are such a perfect match for each other. They both have such positive attitudes and love to joke… we got to watch them make each other laugh all day! Their friends in the wedding party were the same and by reception time, everyone was so happy dancing and socializing.

Congratulations, Richard and Crystal!

Product Feature: Luxury Album for Weddings

Lethbridge wedding album product photo, Luxury Album

One of the most popular albums I offer with weddings is the Luxury Album, a coffee table style high end album with a faux leather cover, beautiful silky finish on pages, and impressive display case. Kayla and Jeff’s Crowsnest Pass summer wedding featured a soft color scheme of white, pink, and light gray so I went with a bright design for this album, using a prominent palette of white with subtle accents of pink and gray. The landscapes in the mountains made for amazing full page spreads!

This sample album was a variation of the actual album Kayla got with her wedding. I was so in love with the design that I needed a copy to share with other people!

Coleman Late Autumn Family Photos [Blair]

Coleman late autumn family photos

Little Blair’s parents came for a visit to see family in the Crowsnest Pass and took some time out of their weekend for Coleman late autumn family photos. It definitely felt like winter was on its way so Blair got to rock his cute orange toque and stylish gray coat for the session! This probably led to many of the pouts he gave us since he’s a baby who prefers being naked, but I think he managed just fine.

We went to the Miner’s Path and found a few splashes of autumn colors left. I love the walking trail there so much, and even in the winter it is beautiful with all the evergreen trees. It was a perfect spot for this cute family.

Leitch Collieries Engagement Session [Brittany & Donovan]

Leitch Collieries engagement session

I had an awesome time working with Brittany and Donovan and can’t wait to see how quirky their wedding will be! Since a mountain wedding would have been their second choice after Lethbridge, they met with me in the Crowsnest Pass for their Leitch Collieries engagement session and brought along their giant Bernese Mountain Dog, Murphy, who was on his best behavior for the whole shoot.

These two were awesome to work with and I loved that even when Brittany tried to be serious, she couldn’t resist smiling huge around Donovan. They have such a romantic feel around each other!

Lundbreck Falls Engagement Session [Cathy & Don]

Lundbreck Falls engagement session

It’s been almost a year since Cathy and Don set their 2015 wedding date and since then I’ve been super excited for the autumn mountain engagement photos we planned on doing. The date finally came and we picked such a warm, beautiful weekend. They decided on a Lundbreck Falls engagement session rather than do their photos in Lethbridge and I’m so glad they made the drive out! The leaves in Lundbreck Falls were already a gorgeous golden color and we only had a TINY bit of wind to deal with (relatively speaking for the Crowsnest Pass!).

I’ve known Cathy for many years and mostly only heard about Don, so I loved finally seeing them interact together. They are such a perfect couple and so incredibly happy together after all their years of dating. I can’t wait for their wedding next year!

Crowsnest Pass Summer Family Portraits [Ava, Tennille & Jim]

Crowsnest Pass summer family portraits

Tennille and Jim met up with me just before their first anniversary to get some new Crowsnest Pass family portraits done with their cute daughter Ava and luckily the weather was much warmer than the day of their wedding, despite the fact the first snowfall of the season had just melted the day before!

Ava has grown up so much since I last photographed them and is already starting playschool… where has the time gone?? She enjoyed herself the most when she was playing peekaboo, hide and go seek, or being spun around, so every photo had to involve a game!

We first went for a little off road exploring to get gorgeous views of Crowsnest Mountain and the river, then headed to the Frank Slide Interpretive Centre to play hide and seek in the trees and rocks.
