AFI photo project, Love Like Winter, Crowsnest Pass winter

This is the second installment in my larger AFI-inspired photo project. You can read more about that here.

The first video I chose to photograph was “Love Like Winter,” partly because of the timing of the project (a fresh snowfall in an otherwise dry winter was something to take advantage of), and partly because of how visually rich the video is. As a result, this particular set has more images than most of the others will. It was really hard to narrow these down!

Max | Crowsnest Pass Dog Photography

Friday, November 2nd, 2012

Max is a sweet little rescue dog who is so lucky to have his new mom who totally dotes on him! He was a little timid when I first met him but it didn’t take him long to learn I was there to give him pets :) (more…)

Kristen & Matt | Crowsnest Pass Engagement Photos

Monday, October 22nd, 2012

Kristen and Matt love going to the mountains, and chose the Crowsnest Pass as the perfect backdrop for their engagement photos! They drove out for the day with their dog Buddy and we went on an easy hike for some gorgeous autumn pictures. Buddy has separation issues and tried to photobomb nearly every photo we took, but he’s soooo cute that he can totally get away with it :) (more…)

Jessica, Steve, and the kids | Crowsnest Pass Family Photos

Tuesday, October 16th, 2012

On my last trip to the Crowsnest Pass, I met up with Jessica and Steve and their cute little boys Miles and Avery for some family photos. Those boys are a handful! They have tons of energy and I don’t know how their parents keep up :) We had a fun time playing on the Miner’s Path, until Avery decided he was done with photos! (more…)

Sophia | Crowsnest Pass Children’s Photos

Wednesday, September 5th, 2012

Oh my goodness, Sophia has grown up so much! I have been photographing her since she was born and each year there is so much change, but this time was especially so since we had to skip last year. She’s a little person now :)

Laura and her came out to Lundbreck Falls, and we had perfect luck as our photo session fell in the two hours it stopped raining that entire weekend! Sophia has always been a natural in front of the camera and is always so easy to photograph. As per tradition, she was disappointed I couldn’t come and hang out with her afterwards :) (more…)

Steve and Wendy | A Crowsnest Pass Wedding

Tuesday, August 7th, 2012

Steve and Wendy may not be from the Crowsnest Pass, but with it being one of their favorite vacation spots they knew they just had to get married there! They had their ceremony at the beautiful Crowsnest Mountain Resort in a small clearing behind the cabins that held gorgeous views of the mountains and big blue sky. It was so tranquil and intimate for their small wedding and it was such a beautiful day.

We spent the next few hours exploring Coleman for photos and I had so much fun! They required so little direction and were constantly breaking into fits of laughter with their friends. After being together for 8 years, Steve and Wendy still act like their love is brand new and it was absolutely joyous to be around them :)

Congratulations, Steve and Wendy! (more…)
