Cassandra and Jax the Dog

Wednesday, August 10th, 2011

Cassandra is about to head out to the coast to attend dog training school, and since she needed a pal to bring along and learn with, she adopted Jax! He’s only a year old so he is exploding with energy, but even in her short time with him, he is already really starting to follow her cues; she is definitely going into the right program! He is so adorable, especially with the eye patch (too bad his little black mustache is fading). (more…)

Michele, Gilles, and the Boys – Lethbridge Family Photos

Monday, July 4th, 2011

Last week I met up with Michele, Gilles, Andrew, and Matt, along with their dog Krystal, for some long overdue family photos! Michele said it’s been many years since they last had them done, and the boys are definitely at that stage where they are growing up fast (and will be moving out on their own soon), so it was a great time to capture who they are right now. They were all super easy to work with, and the only challenge came in getting Krystal’s attention; she’s deaf, so it took a lot of arm waving to get her to look the right way! (more…)

Cassidy and Sonya, magazine featured

Saturday, April 16th, 2011

They even wrapped it nice :)

Earlier this month I was contacted by a medical company based out of Maryland to take some photographs for a feature they were doing in their annual report on one of their patient success stories. When I arrived for the session the next day, I was instantly aware that Cassidy and her mom Sonya were such genuinely nice, generous people. They were surprised to have received the phone call from the company for this story, so we joked that maybe it was all an elaborate April Fool’s joke ;)

I loved capturing the special relationship between Cassidy and her mom. There was so much love and connection between them. They are both amazing people and it was a pleasure to work with them. My contacts in the medical company were also a delight to work with and were so pleasant I even looked forward to their emails!

Taryn and Jon’s wedding (working with Warf)

Thursday, February 10th, 2011

Last summer I second shot for Michael Warf a few times, and I’ve finally had a chance to go through what I captured and pick out some favorite frames!

The last wedding was Taryn and Jon, who had their ceremony in the Kinsman Park in a beautiful tent to keep all their guests cool. They also incorporated their little dog, and he even had a doggie tux! Their wedding party had a really personal touch by including Taryn’s mom and Jon’s dad in the members so they could enjoy the entire day with them. It wasn’t very difficult to make these two look good :) (more…)

Krista and Jason’s wedding (working with Warf)

Tuesday, February 8th, 2011

Last summer I second shot for Michael Warf a few times, and I’ve finally had a chance to go through what I captured and pick out some favorite frames!

Krista and Jason were married at the gorgeous Norland Bed and Breakfast, which is one of my favorite places to do weddings. Even better, these two were oozing with love so they didn’t take much guidance to make laugh a lot. I love their colorful touches they had, especially her purple shoes (also, in love with the bird cage veil!!). At the end of the day, the wind became pretty uncomfortable but we still made use of it :) (more…)

Matthew & Jocelyn, a Lethbridge Wedding

Sunday, August 29th, 2010

Jocelyn and Matthew were married last weekend at a beautiful, intimate ceremony at Henderson Lake with their closest friends and family (officiated by my favorite, Norma!). Though they are both fairly quiet people, they constantly shared all these cute moments between one another that had me smiling a lot too. Matthew took some encouragement to smile with his teeth in the beginning (including his family yelling, “Teeth!” at him), but after a while his grin was ear to ear every time he looked at Jocelyn :)

As you’ll see, they kept things unique with Jocelyn’s awesome green shoes, super colorful flowers, and a Best Lady in place of a Best Man.

Thank you to Andrew Suderman for helping out, and climbing on garbage bins for family photos! (more…)
