Kelti and Matthew held their Gem of the West wedding ceremony on the cusp of autumn with the most important people in their lives in attendance. Kelti is heavily involved in the community so choosing a venue with so much historic value was such a perfect fit.

Kelti, Matthew, and all of their wedding party got ready at the Charles Street Suites, which is conveniently decorated in their wedding colours! They kept to separate floors so that they could share a first look on the staircase before heading out for photos.

Kelti and Matthew both give off so much positive energy and had us laughing all day. It was clear to see why they are so amazing together while watching them interact; they bounce that energy off each other nonstop and hardly ever quit smiling. They, their siblings, and their wedding party were constantly hilarious and never took anything too seriously – even when tackle chases gave way to ripped pants early in the day.

Willem and Jamie had a gorgeous Coaldale autumn wedding with touches of baby blue and pink and burlap accents. It gave everything a perfect rustic feel for all of our farm locations we went to for photos!

We started out the day with their ceremony at the Canadian Reformed Church in Coaldale and after portraits headed to the Gem of the West Museum for their reception.

It was so much fun working with Willem’s family again and now getting to have Jamie’s family in the mix! They were able to include all of their sisters by having the younger girls as junior bridesmaids and a flower girl, and the main bridesmaids were sisters as well :) The sisters are all so close so it felt just like having their best friends in the party. I loved seeing Jamie and Willem’s glowing smiles at each other all day, not to mention how much fun they clearly have together :)

I met Arieke a few years ago when she was a bridesmaid for her friend Gerda, and I was so happy to hear that she was engaged herself! Her and Kyle planned a gorgeous wedding and made sure we had lots of time for photos with them and their friends. Jan and I had so much fun with them all day and it went by so quickly! I was warned that Kyle doesn’t like having his picture taken, but I don’t believe them after how happy he always was around Arieke :) Those smiles took no coaxing at all!

Later I was so happy to be able to steal them away from their reception for a while for some beautiful portraits at dusk :)
