Cale & Kirsten, Lethbridge Lodge spring wedding photos

Cale and Kirsten held their intimate wedding with their immediate families and closest friends on the balcony at the Lethbridge Lodge, which provided a beautiful start to the day!

Instead of letting the rainy day get them down, Cale and Kirsten were great sports and super easy going, not minding going out in the rain one bit! We equipped them with umbrellas after our indoor photos at the Lodge and Casa and made use of the lush green colors the weather gave us for their spring wedding photos.

Congratulations, Cale and Kirsten!

Lethbridge Casa Spring Wedding [Kyle & Briana]

Kyle & Briana, Lethbridge CASA spring wedding

Occasionally I have couples need me in a hurry, and with only a week to spare before their wedding, I was thrilled to be able to fit in this beautiful couple! Briana and Kyle decided to push up the date of their autumn nuptials and planned their gorgeous early spring wedding in only five weeks. Between their fun book details at the reception and awesome wardrobe, you’d never know they put the celebration together so quickly.

We started out their photos with a first look at Casa, which had all of the usual tears and laughter ;) I barely had to pose them during their portraits because they couldn’t stop staring and smiling at each other! They are both hilarious so we had no shortage of smiles throughout the day.

Their family, who was a huge help in putting the wedding together so quickly, joined us at Casa for the wedding party and family portraits, then we headed to the Lethbridge Croatian Centre for their intimate ceremony and reception.

Congratulations, Kyle & Briana!

Elegant Crowsnest Pass Wedding [Jeff & Kayla]

Kayla & Jeff, elegant Crowsnest Pass wedding

Kayla and Jeff had a beautiful, elegant Crowsnest Pass wedding at the end of summer with so many well thought out details! The hints of pink, gold, and white throughout their day added perfect touches and I especially loved their matching balloons (a special thanks to the bridesmaids for inflating those before the ceremony!).

I love seeing how happy Kayla and Jeff are around each other and they were just as cuddly as at their winter engagement session, even though they didn’t need to keep each other warm this time!

They started their day with a ceremony at the Catholic Church in Blairmore and followed with a reception at the Coleman Sportsplex. They did a gorgeous job working their pink and gold colors into the decorations and candy/sundae bar, and you couldn’t recognize the venue as being a curling arena!

Congratulations, Kayla & Jeff!

Lethbridge Spring Wedding [Amelia & Abram]

Amelia & Abram, Lethbridge spring wedding

Amelia and Abram chose early May for their Lethbridge spring wedding and we had a beautiful day with sunshine and all of the new leaves starting to peak out.

One really fun part about the day is that we did the photos in reverse order, starting with their reception details. Amelia and Abram chose to do their personal portraits before anything else and it worked out hugely in our favor since the early afternoon was beautiful and sunny but it was pouring when we left the church after their ceremony! (I won’t even get into the stupid snow that happened after that.) They couldn’t have timed it better :)

I mentioned before how Abram hates having his photo taken, but you could tell he was so smitten by Amelia because he was grinning all day… he probably forget we were taking his photo ;) Amelia was full of huge laughter around him and their families, and she looked so stunning.

They chose the Lethbridge Lodge as their main location both for getting ready and their reception, so it was a natural fit to do many of the portraits there as well. After photos were finished, we headed over to the beautiful Nobleford Christian Reformed Church for their sweet and thoughtful ceremony.

Congratulations, Amelia & Abram!

Charles & Leanne, Lethbridge wedding photos

Charles and Leanne held a beautiful autumn wedding split between Fort Macleod and Lethbridge this October. They were so easy to photograph, the way they just naturally fell into each others arms. Even with the distractions of all of their friends and family, they always gravitated to each other and I rarely saw them not holding hands or with an arm around each other. On top of that, their bridal party was so fun, happy, and energetic and made the day just fly by!

I met with them just after their ceremony at the Netherlands Reformed Congregation in Fort Macleod, and after finishing some family photos and stopping at the awesome old green bridge, we headed into Lethbridge for their portraits and reception at the Coast Hotel. It was such a beautiful sunny day, made even more wonderful by the fact it was supposed to rain and possibly snow that day!

They chose such great colors for their wedding and the autumn leaves really complemented the bridesmaid dresses. I really love their lemon centerpieces as an extra splash of yellow :)

Congratulations, Charles and Leanne! (more…)

Kyle & Arieke | A Lethbridge Wedding

Monday, September 17th, 2012

I met Arieke a few years ago when she was a bridesmaid for her friend Gerda, and I was so happy to hear that she was engaged herself! Her and Kyle planned a gorgeous wedding and made sure we had lots of time for photos with them and their friends. Jan and I had so much fun with them all day and it went by so quickly! I was warned that Kyle doesn’t like having his picture taken, but I don’t believe them after how happy he always was around Arieke :) Those smiles took no coaxing at all!

Later I was so happy to be able to steal them away from their reception for a while for some beautiful portraits at dusk :)

Ceremony: Netherlands Reformed Church
Limo: California Dream Limo
Flowers: The Blooming Willow
Reception: Gem of the West
