Lethbridge Grandstand Summer Wedding [Don & Cathy]

Don & Cathy, Lethbridge Grandstand summer wedding

I’ve been looking forward to Don and Cathy’s Lethbridge Grandstand summer wedding for a long time now – not just because they were the first wedding booked for this year, but because I’ve been dancing with Cathy for many years now! Her and Don have been a family for quite a while now and decided to make it official with a party for their closest friends and family.

They held both their ceremony and reception on the bright upper level of the Grandstand. Having Norma officiate the wedding was a perfect fit as she’s one of our “dance moms.”

The hazy skies and summer heat made everything look dreamy and warm outside. It was a perfect complement to the natural color scheme of green, orange, and brown they chose for their wedding colors. They looked gorgeous and were so joyous all day!

Congratulations, Don and Cathy!

Summer River Bottom Family Photos [Lily, Emily & Travis]

summer river bottom family photos

The evening is a perfect time for summer river bottom family photos during a heat wave! Lily came down to Indian Battle Park in Lethbridge with her mom and dad for their family photos and had so much fun exploring the coulees. She loved running through the trails and having her parents pick her up to swing her, but probably her favorite thing of all were fake sneezes. The bigger your fake sneeze, the harder she would laugh! She even got pretty good at faking her own by the end of the session :)

Beautiful Lethbridge Violin Portraits [Julianna]

Lethbridge violin portraits

It comes as no surprise with my passion for music that I love photographing musicians with their instruments! Julianna was prepping for her graduation recital and needed some photos with her violin, so we headed down to the river bottom in Lethbridge to capture some violin portraits. Her mom was also pretty excited to get some new photos of her daughter! ;)

Julianna was so photogenic (look at that smile!) and chose great outfits to fit with the golden early spring colors in Indian Battle Park. The subdued colors really accented the richness of the violin’s wood!

Lethbridge spring engagement photos

Kristen and Andrew are getting married in a few months and we set out as soon as spring arrived for some casual photos. The two seem so comfortable together like best friends and I love the warmth you can feel between them. Plus they have such great smiles and were super easy to photograph!

They brought along their fur baby Hudson for their Lethbridge spring engagement photos in Indian Battle Park and we started out the session with some “family” pictures :)

I’m glad the wind made us reschedule the week before because it gave the river bottom time for the green spring buds to start coming out!

Lethbridge graduation photos, girl with balloons

Chantal finished her nursing diploma and wanted to celebrate with some super fun photos with her family on her convocation weekend, so we headed out to Indian Battle Park for her Lethbridge graduation photos. The only problem was that the wind that day had insane gusts and Lethbridge was covered in a giant dust cloud! Aside from some intense balloon wrangling and averting our faces the few times we were pelted with rocks, I think we excellently pulled through! Chantal had some adorable motion in her hair (though Chantal is always adorable!) and the balloon situation gave us a LOT to laugh about. :)

Congratulations on your convocation, Chantal! (more…)
