Paula, Dean, Mackenzie and Kahlan

Sunday, October 18th, 2009

The winter weather finally cleared up (hopefully for more than a few days!) so my day was filled with a bunch of “autumn colors” photos… even though there aren’t many autumn colors out there after the trees had the snow shock hit them! (Luckily I can fake it a bit, hehe).

The first shoot of the day was with Paula and Dean, and their two cuties Mackenzie and Kahlan. These girls were adorable little models and excellent at posing – until we got distracted by all the crunchy leaves! I hope you all had fun playing in the leaves with me :)

Julie & Chad

Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

I always say how much I love working with people multiple times, and Julie and Chad are no exception. The last time I saw them was when Eric and Chad’s sister Ashley got married, and this time around the couples switched roles. The weather was considerably better than the last time so we were able to spend quite a bit more time playing outside. I had so much fun with all of them, and I loved how open everyone was to anything.

Julie and Chad are so sweet together and made my job totally easy :)

I get one more round with Julie soon when her friend Chelsey (the slightly taller bridesmaid here) gets married, and I’m so excited to work with those girls again.

Oh, and there are a LOT of photos after the cut! The further along this summer goes, the harder a time I am having narrow the photos down for blogs!

Janae

Friday, July 24th, 2009

Though Janae graduated some time ago, she never had photos done in her awesome blue dress… and better late than never! We spent a few gorgeous evening hours taking photos around town, and though she didn’t think she knew how to pose, she did a pretty good job following my directions :) After our nature-y stops we caught the amazing sunset, and faked some evening photos. This was such a great dress for her; it matched her eyes perfectly!

Ayako

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009

In honor of the last wedding I shot with Michael, where he tried to buy balloons for the photos and the Lethbridge wind absolutely crushed that idea, I made another attempt at balloons in photos and this time it (sort of) worked! (Sure, balloons are the new “colorful old chair on the road” prop for photos, but I had to try them at least once!) Ayako was beautiful and easy to work with and I had a great time shooting her. It’s awesome that she found me, since we were in the last Lethbridge College fashion show together, but didn’t know each other at the time (a true indication of how small Lethbridge is!).
