Erin and Taylor chose the most beautiful day to have their Lethbridge City Hall spring wedding. This was the first day of spring where it truly felt like summer was on its way and the air was filled with the sweet smell of tree blossoms everywhere we went.

We arrived in time for Erin to have her “assembly line” of first looks in her parents’ back yard. Her father got to have the first first look, followed by Taylor once he arrived with his groomsmen. Erin’s dad won the award for most crying during the first look :)

After portraits at Aperture Park, they headed to City Hall for their ceremony. Edgar the Barnowl presenting their wedding rings offered a unique touch to the day! He was very well behaved during the entire ceremony.

The day had already been filled with tons of laughter, but once the reception rolled around and everyone had time to relax and visit with each other, the laughter was non-stop! We had trouble prying ourselves away from all the happy dancers even after our photo coverage was over :)

What better way to throw a party than with a Lethbridge New Years Eve wedding? Lynn and Kaitlyn planned their celebration to take place in the evening on New Years so they could ring in the upcoming year and their new life together with all of the people who mean the most to them.

They started their photos with a romantic reveal in the coulees just before a surprisingly warm sunset. Kaitlyn was shuttled to the location by family and hid in the van until Lynn was just out of sight. After a few moments of embracing Kaitlyn braved the chilly air to show off her beautiful soft pink dress. They were so awesome about working outside despite the weather… and at least it gave them an excuse to cuddle extra closely!

Their evening ceremony was held in Lethbridge City Hall. Their vows were a perfect mix of sentimental and humorous and could not have reflected their personalities better.

Country Kitchen Catering provided their reception party venue and dinner later that evening.

Lynn and Dennis got their children and grandsons together for their Lethbridge City Hall autumn family photos, and despite it being the end of October, it was a warm day, there were still leaves on the nearby trees, and there wasn’t a gust of wind! They have such a good looking family who are so close to each other. The cousins act like siblings and the in-laws know how to dish out the jabs just as much as everyone else does :)

I was really excited when they wanted to use an urban setting. The City Hall building is one of my favorite photo spots in Lethbridge with its great architecture and the way it reflects the sky and the weeping willows that line the street in front.

I had a great time working with Andrea and Graham for their downtown Lethbridge engagement photos, especially because we made the bold decision to include their cat Henry in a few photos. I had already met Henry a few times when I photographed him for the Lethbridge PAW Society, and for their session he was at his most dapper in his blue bow tie! Seeing as how you can’t really tell cats what to do, he was a great little model, even if he was a little distracted by the birds ;)

After he was safe at home, I headed downtown to City Hall with Andrea and Graham and I am grateful they climbed on fountains and in trees for me! They were amazing models and I can’t wait for their wedding this autumn.

Ken and Sam were a wonderful couple to start out the craziness of wedding season with! I had already worked with Ken in another wedding party a few years ago but this was my first opportunity to photograph the adorable Sam with him. They are so cute together! They have no problem being silly and are so cuddly and comfortable around each other.

When you have a Lethbridge spring wedding you often face a big challenge – THE WIND! – but everyone was in good spirits and fought through it, chasing any personal items that blew away, and we found lots of little nooks to tuck them into to escape it. The weather only proved how easy going these two are.

Their group was so much fun to spend the day with and we were so happy to be a part of it.

Norman and Erin did a great job planning their Lethbridge City Hall wedding in a short amount of time and chose such a great place for their closest friends and family to join them. The City Hall foyer was a gorgeous location for their intimate wedding with its huge windows and vaulted ceiling.

It was such an honor to be a part of Erin’s wedding after knowing her for so many years. I love seeing how happy she is with Norman and they are such a cute couple :)

Erin is a makeup artist, so of course she looked flawless! She chose a timeless lace dress with beautiful straps while Norman looked so sharp in his well fitted gray suit.

p.s. I totally appreciate that fellow tall girl Erin rocked heels at her wedding ;)
