Pincher Creek Country Wedding Photos [Jodie & Steven]

Jodie and Steven, Pincher Creek Country Wedding

Jodie and Steven found so many perfect ways to make their Pincher Creek country wedding personalized to them. Nestled under the mountains on the farm where Jodie grew up, their outdoor ceremony was a gorgeous way to bring their lives together. Jodie and her dad rode down to the ceremony by a horse drawn cart similar to one her grandfather used to have.

Steven and her said their vows amongst the trees and were able to make use of all the beautiful locations around the farm for their wedding photos. All within walking distance were mountain vistas, dense trees, and a beautiful stream that cuts through the property. We were even able to incorporate the family’s pets! Jodie’s horses were pretty cautious about her dress, but managed to get in close enough for a few photos ;)

Jodie and Steven are so natural together. In between posed photos it was so easy to sneak in candid pictures of gentle kisses and loving embraces, or just the sweet way they looked at each other. They are so kind to each other and everyone around them. I don’t think they could have found a more perfect companion in each other.

Congratulations, Jodie and Steven!

Southminster United Church Wedding Ceremony [Willianne & Steven]

Willianne and Steven, Southminster United Church Wedding Ceremony

After meeting in New Zealand, where Steven is originally from, he and Willianne chose Canada as the perfect place to have their wedding. The couple moved back to Alberta in the days leading up to the event and many of their friends and Steven’s family made the long trip to join them on this special day.

They began the morning with their Southminster United Church wedding ceremony. Since their wedding had hints of a country feel interspersed throughout the day, the church perfectly complemented it with its vintage wood detailing.

After a family lunch in Indian Battle Park, we set off for photos. We were lucky again to work with a couple who had such a romantic feel to their interactions and their entire day! Willianne and Steven radiate a peacefulness when they are in each other’s arms and were so sweet to watch.

Willianne chose her parents’ yard for their outdoor reception. What a gorgeous venue it made! Their beautifully landscaped yard in the country side was set up with a large decorated tent, different treat stations, and a BBQ dinner prepared on site. It was a perfect venue for mingling and laughter on such a nice summer evening.

Congratulations, Willianne and Steven!

Twin Sibling Western Photo Session [Bradley & Allison]

twin sibling western photo session

Bradley and Allison got to have their twin sibling western photo session at their grandma’s house just outside of Lethbridge. Grandma’s house had such pretty spots but more importantly, it’s where their mom and dad keep their horses boarded and we got to bring them out for photos too!

This session was made possible by a donation through the Lethbridge Twins & Triplets Club and I was excited waiting to see which twins (or triplets!) would come my way! Twins Bradley and Allison have such distinct personalities already, which was most notable when Allison told us how done she was and Bradley watched her with curiosity, wondering what ever could have made his sister so upset :) The twins looked so cute in their miniature western wear, especially Allison’s little pink cowboy boots.

Fort Macleod Backyard Wedding Ceremony [Cameron & Morgan]

Cameron and Morgan, Fort Macleod backyard wedding ceremony

Morgan and Cameron travelled south to Morgan’s family acreage to hold their Fort Macleod backyard wedding ceremony. Their perfect sunny day really made the cotton candy pink and blue color scheme pop! I loved how they mix and matched the colors throughout the wedding party and their children, with their daughter lucky enough to get the most colorful poofy dress that was a mix of both.

They kept their wedding very small with immediate family, which made the day so special and intimate. Their DIY touches were put together so well… Morgan made the bouquets and flower girl dress herself!

After all the years their relationship goes back, the deep intimacy and comfort they share together was obvious.

Congratulations, Cameron and Morgan!

Henderson Lake Summer Wedding Photos [Rylan & Sarah]

Rylan and Sarah, Henderson Lake summer wedding photos

After photographing Sarah and Rylan before as bridal party members, I was so excited to finally see Sarah in her own white dress!

This was a special wedding for their families as both Sarah and Rylan are the first of their siblings to get married. Each set of little sisters was especially excited to get to dress up for this fun day.

After family photos in Picture Butte, we made the drive to Lethbridge to visit Indian Battle Park and finished with Henderson Lake summer wedding photos, complete with popping their first bottle of champagne.

It was so great to get to work with their group of friends again. This was our fifth time working with some of their friends and they are always so hilarious, outgoing, and make the day so special for everyone involved. This particular day we were treated to watching ice cream battles to combat the summer heat ;)

Sarah and Rylan are so amazing together and completely adore each other. I quickly lost count of how many times Rylan would send her into uncontrollable laughter.

Congratulations, Rylan and Sarah!

Park Lake Country Engagement Session [Denise & Koos]

Park Lake country engagement session

Denise and Koos wanted country-inspired photos but loved the idea of going to the lake, so we combined them into a Park Lake country engagement session! It was such a beautiful evening at Park Lake and felt like summer was finally here :)

I couldn’t get over how sweet Denise and Koos are together. Their love was so obvious even though they are a quiet and reserved couple. You can see it in the way they embrace and the way they smile at each other. Plus, you know how crazy Koos is for Denise when he hates having his photo taken but did awesome through the session!

I can’t wait for their wedding this spring!
