Lethbridge children's sister portraits

Kennedy and Kaia’s mom surprised their dad with children’s sister portraits of the girls for his Christmas present. While he was briefly out of town, the girls and their faithful dogs visited me at the University of Lethbridge lake. Kaia is still a little too young to understand the concept of secrets so we had a backup story of me being a friend practising photos to avoid any spoiling!

The last time I photographed the family was before Kennedy could walk on her own so it was incredible to see how much they have grown! Even the dogs, Jake and Digger, are much more white than they were last time, though they still have the full energy of golden retrievers. We made sure to focus on their senior dog Digger who is getting quite up there in years so they can have some beautiful photos of him.

Pavan Park fall family photos

I’ve danced with Sandra for many years now and loved having a chance to see her so happy with her two boys for their Pavan Park fall family photos. The last year has brought very unfortunate changes to their family as Sandra’s husband passed away earlier this year, but these photos were done in his memory to honor the connection they still have with him. They have always been a tightly knit family and continue to be one :)

They brought along their two sweet dogs Vadie and Dash, who were striking in their pink vests and had so much personality!

Nicholas Sheran autumn children's photos

While their family was visiting Lethbridge, Lilly and Sunnie swung by for some Nicholas Sheran autumn children’s photos. Their mom found them such cute outfits that arrived just in time for their portrait session and we had such a beautiful afternoon at the lake. These two are such great little models and could throw on the most natural smile on command. They had so much fun running around the park and throwing leaves in the air.

Prairie Arbour family photos

It was wonderful to see Melissa and Schuyler again for their Prairie Arbour family photos. I last photographed them when their baby was born, and she’s running away from everyone now! They wanted to make use of the beautiful landscape around their new house for their session; they had amazing coulee views just a short walk across the road from their house, and it was a beautiful, calm, sunkissed morning. The kids especially loved exploring the coulees and making ladybug friends :)

autumn farm family photos

As a gift for their mom, the Perry family went with photos! Mom used her certificate for autumn farm family photos at their acreage near Chin, Alberta and our timing worked out great in that we were able to do the photos on their wedding anniversary. After photos, everyone was ready to party :)

The wind that day was insane, but incredibly the trees at their farm blocked most of it and we barely noticed a thing! They had a beautiful property with no shortage of photo locations and lots of cute critters wandering around to keep us company. The family was so giggly and cute together!

Spring Coulee Family Photos [Susan & Craig]

Fun Lethbridge weddings and portrait photography

For her parents’ 50th anniversary, each of Susan’s siblings were having a special family portrait session done on their “home turf.” We wanted something that screamed “Lethbridge” for Susan’s family and the coulees, Indian Battle Park, and High Level Bridge were a perfect fit to capture the feel of Lethbridge! Her, Craig, and their three energetic girls joined me just as spring started to make its arrival. After all of the rain, the grass was popping with green and the first tree buds were starting to appear.

This family is so wonderful and fun to watch! They are all so happy together and constantly joking and laughing, and I loved how adventurous the girls were, whether it meant climbing on the bridge trellises or on mom and dad!
