Jena and Daniel are one of those couples who cannot be subtle about how much they are in love. From the way Jena bends over in laughter from Daniel’s jokes to the way they clutched each other during the first dance, their emotions for each other are so intense. It was amazing to watch!

Their wedding party matched their excitement and were constantly joking and having intense fits of laughter. They could not have chosen better friends to stand beside them.

They planned a gorgeous Kananaskis Delta Lodge wedding with soft lavender colors and details to match the beauty of the mountains. With so many amazing spots at the resort itself, we never had to leave the site. Moss covered streams and mountain vistas were all within a two minute walk of each other!

Janine and Travis chose a gorgeous day to get married and spent it with all the people who love them the most. Their wedding party was so energetic and happy throughout the day, and always ready to help Janine with her dress. Janine and Travis are so passionate together and I had to be careful not to direct them too kiss too often, because it was hard to get them to stop!

We started off the day with Park Lake summer wedding photos of them and their families. The lake was nice and quiet (except for the mosquitoes) so we got to have free reign of the place.

Everyone then piled in the limo to head to Lethbridge for photos in the coulees (I’m always so impressed with the ease at which the girls travel down in their heels!) and some urban shots in Crossings.

Henry and Shana already share a deep commitment by having a family together but chose to put together a dream wedding to officially unite their families. Every part of their day was thought out in romantic details, from Shana’s elegant flowing dress to their Norland outdoor wedding ceremony to their decorations covered in subdued flowers and pearls. Despite the years they have already shared together, they still look at each other with such passion.

After the crazy heat the day before, it was a perfect day at The Norland with just a hint of shade to keep things cool. All of the children in attendance adored the location… we couldn’t pinpoint their locations for very long because they were having so much fun running around the trees and swinging from the hammock!

Since Henry and Shana first met while salsa dancing, it was fitting that they had Latin music playing at their wedding reception! DJ Tizio (the DJ behind all of the salsa nights in Lethbridge) was the obvious choice to keep their party going all night.

While most of our weddings this year had a huge chance of being rained out, Shelly and Mark’s Paradise Canyon summer wedding never once had that threat. Instead they had an amazing hot day for their outdoor ceremony at the golf course.

They chose to hold both their ceremony and reception at the scenic Paradise Canyon Golf Resort, overlooking the coulees. With Mark’s family travelling a far distance to attend the wedding, it was fitting they got to spend this special day in such a distinct Lethbridge landscape!

It was amazing seeing Shelly and Mark interact with each other. While they are normally very collected people, they couldn’t hold back their emotions at times like seeing each other down the aisle and sharing emotional speeches. I love photographing criers ;)

Denise and Koos wanted country-inspired photos but loved the idea of going to the lake, so we combined them into a Park Lake country engagement session! It was such a beautiful evening at Park Lake and felt like summer was finally here :)

I couldn’t get over how sweet Denise and Koos are together. Their love was so obvious even though they are a quiet and reserved couple. You can see it in the way they embrace and the way they smile at each other. Plus, you know how crazy Koos is for Denise when he hates having his photo taken but did awesome through the session!

I can’t wait for their wedding this spring!

When Stephanie and I rode the school bus together many years ago, I never imagined I’d one day be rolling around in the damp grass photographing her wedding! Her and Travis had a gorgeous SpringBreak Flower Farm wedding and though their ceremony was forced inside from the threat of rain, we were lucky to be able to do all their photos outside. We were especially lucky seeing as how the day before there were tornado warnings!

It was amazing watching the interactions they had with their friends and family as they got ready for the day. I can’t count the number of times people almost broke out in tears, but always managed to catch themselves just in time not to wreck their makeup ;)

One very special part of the day was the inclusion of their dogs (their babies, of course!) Lucky and Luka. The dogs even had a special part in the ceremony as they walked down the aisle inside of SpringBreak garden centre and stood alongside the wedding party.

This was such a happy day for them and their wedding party was so energetic and happy, so they never had a chance to stop laughing.
