Pincher Creek Bloomin’ Inn Winter Wedding [Mike & Lanna]

Lanna & Mike, Pincher Creek Bloomin' Inn winter wedding

Mike and Lanna’s Pincher Creek Bloomin’ Inn winter wedding was everything they hoped it would be thanks to the amazing snowy day we had! The Bloomin’ Inn was the perfect venue for the rustic theme they wanted, especially since it’s a working cattle ranch and Mike is also a cattle farmer. While the venue matched their lifestyle, they wanted a different landscape than they are used to seeing and chose to get married closer to the mountains, later having their reception at Castle Mountain.

The weather really delivered to give Lanna the snowy winter day she wanted. Thick snow hugged all of the tree branches, fluffy flakes fell, and not a trace of wind could be found (which is so unusual for Pincher Creek!).

I thought Lanna giggled a lot at their engagement photos, but her wedding day was much more exciting, eliciting endless laughter and huge grins from her! I love how emotional she is and how over the top happy they are together. This postive energy made it easy to hike through several feet of snow to find the prettiest spots on the ranch, and Lanna came prepared with her big boots.

After having their first look out in the snow, their guests started to arrive for their ceremony inside the Bloomin’ Inn.

Congratulations, Mike and Lanna!

Annelies & Kyle, Coaldale winter wedding

After standing beside her friend earlier this year, it was now time for Annelies’s Coaldale winter wedding with her love Kyle!

Their ceremony at the Coaldale Canadian Reformed Church was very special in that it was performed by Annelies’s grandfather, and even more so that she is the first of his grandchildren to get married! It added such a personal touch to be able to include their family so intimately.

Most of their details were created by people involved in the wedding, but mostly by Annelies who designed all of the paper items and created the bouquets by hand. She has so much talent and it’s not surprising she is a graphic designer.

We had the perfect winter weather for their wedding. November can be quite unpredictable, but we had a gorgeous mix of snow on the ground and enough sunshine to keep them warm when we went out for photos in Lethbridge. Their wedding party was so fun and energetic and it was great to see a few familiar faces in the lineup.

Annelies and Kyle are such a sweet and romantic couple and they really accented that feel with their styling of blush pink, wine, bow ties, and cardigans.

Congratulations, Kyle and Annelies!

Norman & Erin, Lethbridge City Hall wedding photos

Norman and Erin did a great job planning their Lethbridge City Hall wedding in a short amount of time and chose such a great place for their closest friends and family to join them. The City Hall foyer was a gorgeous location for their intimate wedding with its huge windows and vaulted ceiling.

It was such an honor to be a part of Erin’s wedding after knowing her for so many years. I love seeing how happy she is with Norman and they are such a cute couple :)

Erin is a makeup artist, so of course she looked flawless! She chose a timeless lace dress with beautiful straps while Norman looked so sharp in his well fitted gray suit.

p.s. I totally appreciate that fellow tall girl Erin rocked heels at her wedding ;)

Congratulations, Norman and Erin!

Lethbridge winter wedding

This post is a little late, but Lorelei had first dibs on showing the photos :)

Last December I had the pleasure of second shooting for Lorelei Hoffarth for Jennifer and David’s snowy Lethbridge winter wedding. It was extremely cold that day so we mostly stuck indoors with Casa, their church, and their reception venue, but at the end there were brave enough to head out with their fur shawls for a few snow pictures too!

I started out the day with the boys at Casa, and soon Lorelei and the girls joined us.

Crowsnest Pass Winter Wedding [Michelle & Oscar]

Michelle & Oscar, Crowsnest Pass winter wedding

Michelle & Oscar traveled all the way from Calgary for their Crowsnest Pass “winter” wedding. It may have taken place in the spring, but it sure looked like winter! Just days before, and even the next day, the grass had been turning green and there were no more hints of winter. Out of no where came a heavy snowfall warning for all of southern Alberta. We definitely lucked out as a few places had more of a rainy snow, but the Crowsnest Pass looked like something out of a fairy tale. Plus, by the time we headed outside, most of the heavy snowfall had stopped, leaving only gorgeous snow covered landscapes.

The Crowsnest Pass was a perfect fit for their wedding as it allowed them to get married in the mountains and still include family in a special way. Their ceremony was performed at the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Blairmore by Michelle’s uncle. It was an intimate ceremony with their closest friends and family. Their ceremony was so emotional and full of so many happy tears and laughter.

After the ceremony, we explored the Crowsnest Pass with Oscar and Michelle and their two friends. It was fun having another couple as their bridal party because I could get them to be all cute and intimate too (normally that would be a little awkward!). They were so much fun and I loved all of the excitement they expressed over the landscapes. I sometimes take it for granted having grown up there, but they reminded me just how beautiful it is!

Oscar and Michelle are so sweet together and I know they are going to have such a happy life.

Congratulations, Oscar & Michelle!

Lake Louise Snowy Winter Wedding [Alex & Erika]

Alex and Erika, Lake Louise snowy winter wedding

I adore tiny, intimate weddings and Erika and Alex had the ultimate: a beautiful Lake Louise snowy winter elopement, planned at quite the last minute. With less than a week’s notice (and the day after moving, no less), Cam and I were on our way to Lake Louise to capture the couple’s gorgeous day.

Their ceremony was held at the classic Deer Lodge near the lake and the rustic feel of the hotel was a perfect compliment to Erika’s vintage sense of style; she would have fit in perfectly when the lodge first opened! I loved the contrast to Alex’s modern look of his slim fitting gray suit and matching high-tops.

Erika was hoping for a winter wonderland and she definitely got it! After a very frigid week, Lake Louise warmed up just in time for their wedding photos but not so much that any snow melted away. Even the ice castle was still left standing on the lake. Between the lodge and the lake, we had no shortage of photo opportunities.

Their ceremony was beautiful and quiet, and their officiant took her time to make it that much more special. We were so happy to be able to take part.

Congratulations, Alex and Erika!
