COVID-19 Photography Policies

Updated: September 16, 2021

Please note policies are subject to change without notice. All policies take into account the current government and healthcare recommendations. We are an immunocompromised household and will err on the side of caution in all situations. We have both doses of our vaccine and are in few situations where we will be affected by contact tracing.

We are both able to provide proof of vaccination if we are doing photos somewhere that is following the restrictions exemption program.

You are not required to wear a mask during your photo session.

Outdoor Photography Sessions

There are currently no size restrictions for outdoor sessions. People at the session may be from different households.

I will continue to maintain a distance of over 6 feet throughout the session as much as possible, and if needing to get closer, I will ask your permission first. I may wear a mask when making up close adjustments or when working with very large groups.

You are not expected to wear a mask in between photos.

If you are immunocompromised, please let me know at the time of booking and I will not remove my mask at any point during the session, plus will maintain a distance of over 6 feet at all times.

Indoor and In-Home Photography Sessions

We are continuing to take limited indoor sessions. Please keep in mind I do not have a studio and a number of indoor spaces I normally use are still closed to the public due to COVID. I am happy to provide a list of paid indoor spaces that are taking bookings.

At your indoor session, please only have the people present who will be in the photos. Only two vaccinated households are allowed at an indoor session, up to 9 people plus the photographer.

Commercial sessions are allowed while following your business's capacity, masking, and vaccination restrictions. You are allowed to remove your mask during photos you are in.

In Person Ordering Sessions

In person ordering sessions are currently not available. You will be able to view your photos and order from an online gallery. If you have any difficulty using the gallery, we can arrange a video call with screen share so I can walk you through your order that way.

Indoor wedding ceremonies are currently limited to 50 people. If your venue has continued restrictions, we are able to keep the second photographer off-site during your ceremony if you need the space for an extra family member.

We will continue to wear masks at all indoor ceremonies and receptions and in some outdoor circumstances. We are both able to provide proof of vaccination if your reception venue is taking part in the restrictions exemption program.

To reduce person to person contact, all consults are currently being completed by phone call or video call. Let me know what you'd prefer when setting up your consult!

Reschedules, Cancellations, and Extensions

I understand kids may be sent home or families need to quarantine without notice, so there is no longer a 24 hour cancellation period for sessions. If you are sick an hour before your session, you are able to reschedule without penalty and I offer unlimited reschedules for portrait and commercial sessions.

I have a more detailed rescheduling policy for weddings available upon request.

Gallery activations can be extended by special request. You can have one 5-day extension with the $25 fee waived if circumstances prevent you from being able to place your order.

Product Orders & Shipping

I am currently not expecting any delays in product orders and shipping. However, my photo labs may shut down without warning. I will notify any clients with active bookings/orders if this occurs.
