Lethbridge Wedding Venues
Choosing a Venue For Your Wedding in Lethbridge
I've had the pleasure of working at a number of Lethbridge's amazing wedding venues and know how hard it can be to choose the right one for your wedding. It helps to see what real weddings look like in the venue, which is why I've put together this guide!
Many of these Lethbridge wedding venues double as both ceremony and reception locations, and can be booked for only one part of the day if there are two must-have locations for your day. Although I did not feature them on this list, there are also a number of beautiful churches in Lethbridge ideal for ceremonies.
Lethbridge Wedding Venues
The following links highlight events I have photographed in my favorite Lethbridge wedding venues. I've included links to each venue so you can follow up with them directly for booking information!

Kaitlyn and Lynn planned a small wedding on New Years Eve and had their ceremony in the City Hall foyer at night after finishing their portraits. Their reception later that evening was held at Country Kitchen Catering.
Erin and Norman had an intimate daytime ceremony in the City Hall foyer, followed by portraits around the beautiful architecture outside.

Jack and Erika spent most of their day at the Coast, holding both their ceremony and reception in one of the lower level ballrooms, getting ready in the bridal suite, and doing all family portraits in the hotel lobby.
Kallie and Wallie started with their ceremony in one of the downstairs ballrooms at the Coast and after returning from photos, partied the night away in the big upstairs ballroom.
After a church wedding in Fort Macleod and photos amongst the autumn colours in Lethbridge, Leanne and Charles finished off their day with portraits in the Coast Hotel's lobby and a reception in the main ballroom. For extra space for a bouquet toss, they used the stairs leading up to the reception!
Having a wedding on Canada Day can often mean battling crowds and parking, but Kim and Danyel made the day easy for their guests by holding everything at the Coast, from getting ready to the end of reception. At the end of the night, guests could go outside to watch the fireworks at Henderson Lake!
Visit their website: Galt Museum
Greg and Lasca chose to have both their ceremony and reception in the Galt's viewing gallery, with a gorgeous sunset brushing over the room just after dinner.
Andrew and Kristen did something a little different for their ceremony at the Galt Museum - they had it outside! This offered them stunning open views of the coulees with the convenience of not needing to rearrange seating for their reception in the viewing gallery.
Brian and Margot wanted a unique location for their intimate wedding. Since only their children were in attendance, they were flexible with space and chose the old brick wall outside the Galt for their ceremony.
Matthew and Kristyn went with a whimsical Alice in Wonderland theme, and the bright openness of the Galt's viewing gallery was perfect for this feel. The museum's central location in the city made it easy to go to a number of locations for portraits in just a short time.
Gem of the West Museum

After Kelti and Matt had their first look and portraits in Lethbridge, they made the short drive to Coaldale to have both their indoor ceremony and reception at the Gem of the West Museum. They carried their purple colour scheme through the museum, including purple mood light projections. In the middle of their program, they were able to sneak outside for a few portraits around the museum.
After their church wedding and portraits in Lethbridge, Arieke and Kyle headed back to their home town of Coaldale with their family for their reception at the Gem of the West Museum. At dusk we were able to sneak over to the Birds of Prey Centre wetlands for some evening photos.
Visit their website: Heritage Hall
The earthy tones of Heritage Hall looked amazing with Trent and Dominika's autumn colour theme. Their seating arrangement was switched around during portraits, allowing them to have a different set up for their ceremony and reception at the same location.
Italian Canadian Club

Andrea, being a wedding planner, knew exactly how she wanted her wedding venue to look. The sparkly warm glow of the Italian Club contrasted beautifully with her and Tylor's cool wedding colours for both their ceremony and reception.
Josh and Cheryl worked their way across the city on their wedding day, starting with their church ceremony and portraits on the west side before ending up at the Italian Club on the north side for the reception.
Drew and Alyssa bounced around a bit on their wedding day - their church ceremony in Lethbridge was followed by portaits downtown and then a quick drive out to the Crowsnest Pass - but ended up at the Italian Club to dance the night away.
The snowstorm outside on Rob and Rachael's wedding day put no damper on their plans. Their guests stayed warm inside the Italian Club between the ceremony and reception, and the beautiful lighting inside meant the family did not need to risk the icy roads for portraits anywhere else.

Don and Cathy had their ceremony in one of the brightly lit rooms of the top floor then went across the hall to their reception. They planned enough time between the two for us to visit Indian Battle Park for their photos.
Greg and Jessica also had their reception on the bright top floor, but held their ceremony in one of the lower ballrooms. The convenient location near Henderson Lake meant we didn't need to go very far for their portraits!
Sandman Signature Hotel (formerly Lethbridge Lodge)

After a gorgeous day of summer wedding portraits at the Lethbridge Research Centre and Henderson Lake, Kim and Nathaniel met back up with their family for their reception at the Lethbridge Lodge. Just after sunset, they snuck out to the parking lot behind the hotel for some dramatic dusk photos.
Every detail of Graham and Andrea's wedding radiated grace and romance, so Anton's Ballroom was the perfect space in the lodge for their reception.
Cale and Kirsten's intimate wedding was a perfect fit for the atrium balcony at the Lethbridge Lodge. We were lucky to be able to use the many indoor locations at the lodge for photos as it was raining that day, but we did manage a bit of outdoor time before they returned to their reception at the hotel.
Wanting only an intimate ceremony, Alex and Todd included only their immediate family when they said their vows on the atrium balcony. After their portraits, they returned to a full reception with all of their extended guests at Anton's Ballroom.
Lethbridge Research Centre

Krysty and Kole made the Lethbridge Research Centre park grounds their own by renting vintage furniture, a tandem bicylce, and a lemonade stand. Their sunny outdoor ceremony was filled with lots of laughter and bubbles!
Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden

Mary and Dale love the landscape within Nikka Yuko, so they chose to have their ceremony on the water's edge and all portraits taken within the Japanese garden.
Although they were planning a small backyard wedding ceremony, Stefanie and Geoff wanted something special for their wedding portraits and chose Nikka Yuko for their morning photos.
The Norland Historic Estate Venue

Christina and Joshua planned their entire day at the Norland, from getting ready right to the end of the reception. Christina's gourmet homemade cookies looked perfectly at home in the Norland's beautiful ballroom.
After getting ready off-site, Henry and Shana headed over to the Norland to spend the rest of their sunny wedding day with their friends and family.
After a first look and portraits in the bed and breakfast's yard, Aamee and Jason rode off and then right back in on a horse drawn carriage for their outdoor ceremony. They held an open concept reception in the Norland's tent.
One of my earlier but still favorite weddings photographed at the Norland was Juli and Dan's, where they brought their love of their trips to India into their wedding. Their ceremony was held outdoors at the gazebo with the reception in the tent, brightened up by their own colorful fabrics they brought along for decorations.
Visit their website: Paradise Canyon
After a beautiful outdoor ceremony on the golf course lawn, Shelly and Mark's guests got to enjoy refreshments in the air conditioned building during the wedding party's quick jaunt over to the university for portraits before the reception.
Even with Rob and Kathy's intimate wedding size, Paradise Canyon was a perfect fit for their group. After their indoor ceremony, we were able to take photos out on the golf course before they returned to the room for dinner.
Visit their website: Pavan Park
A large outdoor area with room for games was the perfect setting for Cayley and Kyle's wedding carnival. Guests were able to take part in all of the activities in between the ceremony and reception while the couple explored the park for their photos.
Pavan Park was a favorable choice for Chris and Sheana because it meant they could include their dogs! They were married during canola season, which was conveniently growing in the fields just at the top of the park.
Southern Alberta Art Gallery (SAAG)

The Southern Alberta Art Gallery (SAAG) was the perfect size and vibe for Jennifer and David's intimate wedding ceremony and casual socializing reception with their closest friends and family. The beautiful architecture of the art gallery made it a natural and easy fit for one of their portrait locations.
University of Lethbridge

Scott and Katie met while attending the University of Lethbridge, so it was only fitting to have their wedding ceremony there as well! They made use of the university's newer building, Markin Hall, while also getting ready at the rental residence units and doing all photos on the university property. They later held their reception at Paradise Canyon.
After a first look and church ceremony, Mike and Leeanna had their first dance as husband and wife at the U of L ballroom just before dusk.
